Consistency is a cheat code
Why you should be dating consistency.
I have no moral right to write this week newsletter, I have been absolutely knackered coming back from work every day this week, to add insults to injury, been suffering from writers bloc lately.
Also, I unsurprisingly didn’t read much nor done any noteworthy research over the past days, the only reason why I put this newsletter together is exactly our topic for the week, CONSISTENCY.
Lol I hope that doesn’t sound like an excuses to you, atleast the newsletter is here so let’s delve right into it😀
Merriem Webster dictionary has several meanings for Consistency, so I’d go with the one that fit in most with our discourse:: “agreement or harmony of parts or features to one another or a whole.”
Let’s say for example you’re in an agreement or harmony with your tasks at hand, it shows that you’re consistent with it.
Being consistent is a cheat code because it’s a trait that many people lacks, you’d see humans embarked on projects then quitting halfway because they lacked the necessary discipline and consistency to see it through.
Being consistent involves immense self discipline, personal convictions even though it’s hard to be 100% consistent with all our activities, but you should try to be on a good side of consistency.
Let me put it to you today that consistent people usually have an edge in life because, before you can achieve anything noteworthy in life, being consistent comes into play.
Permit me to delve into that unique example of consistency in human form; Usain Bolt.. Yes that popular Jamaican athlete trained consistently for many years under different conditions just to run for less than 20 mins in his entire successful career laden with medals.
This is to show that whether you’re an athlete, writer, leader of industry, tech bro or sis, government official etc, to take your career to the next peak, you’ll need to be in a marriage with consistency.
Let me also assure you that it’s been fun dating consistency ever since we started this newsletter because our relationship with consistency birthed today’s version of RWA newsletter despite all the futile efforts of my village people, Lol excuse my dads joke.
On a more serious note, be prepared, be consistent with whatever you’re doing, everything will soon make sense and I hope you also get into a valuable relationship with consistency as soon as possible!
Wishing you a consistent week ahead.
